A team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities creates the most effective solutions to its projects and assignments.

The value of teams in your organization.

Teams should greatly improve the workload on the president, CEO and other executives. During these uncertain times, most CEOs are over-extended. They’re grappling with economic and health issues, possibly busy raising funds, working from home and trying to keep the organization engaged in vital work, all while trying to address multiple ventures at the same time. By building effective teams, a CEO has additional resources to help in managing day-to-day operations. Good teams can keep things running smoothly when the CEO or other key executive is out of town, under the weather, planning new services or otherwise involved in other efforts.

The Strength of the Team.

Our work with teams is less about skill development and more about how the members of the team work together. Intrinsic to the effectiveness of the team is the role of the project manager. Who is leading the team? What authority does this team leader possess? And does the team leader have the respect of the members?

Team Kickoff.

When BE works with teams, we first discuss teamwork assignments and responsibilities with management and/or ownership. At our first meeting with the team, we review these roles and responsibilities with each team member. Clarification of purpose is important to achieving a successful outcome. In our extensive work with teams, we’ve found that when people are put on teams without roles or without a clear purpose behind their involvement in the team, the end result and subsequent contribution of the team diminishes significantly.

Why We Work With Teams.

The way we work together has a lot to do with how we accept new ideas, how we learn to trust one another, how we innovate and even whether or not we are having fun while we work. It is often teamwork that helps us strategize and solve challenges. BOVA ENTERPRISES works with teams to clarify the role each member plays to help form effective solutions. We help the team understand who is making final decisions and what alternatives each member has should they not agree with the decisions as they are made. When roles are clearly defined, the team is in sync and provides better, and more innovative solutions to projects and processes. The end result is a team that is more effective to the organization and to its executives.

What Kinds of Outcomes Can You Expect?

When we work with teams to develop clarity of tasks and roles, you’ll see increased engagement within the team and the project. Team members are empowered to contribute and provide valuable feedback.
